The Tamron 10-24 lens is a perfect tool for creating dramatic landscape and cityscape images. With the ultra wide-angle setting, you will be able to capture views of what the eye can actually see. Under the semi-angle option, you will be able to capture spectacular scenes.
The Tamron 10-24 is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens. The lens has a focal range of 10 to 24 mm (35mm equivalent of 16mm to 37mm.) It has a wide range of applications to create spectacular images with its ultra wide-angle settings.
The lens has the ability to focus closer to capture images with an exaggerated perspective at the end. The10mm, ultra-wide angle with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5 in the semi-angle 24mm wide helps achieve its objective. The micro-motor ensures a smooth and precise auto-focus to capture a better quality picture.
Having a wide range of focal lengths is ideal for D-SLR cameras. Because the size of 35mm film is larger than the image sensor, a digital camera will capture a narrower field of view even in the same focal length settings. The Tamron 10-24 lens was made exclusively for digital SLR cameras to provide the ideal focal lengths to cover a desired range that DSLR shooters prefer.
The Tamron 10-24 lens is designed so that the size of the lens image circle will match the smaller sized image sensors. With the compact design, it is almost like a lens that offers the same angles as the 35mm film.
The lens’ optics uses three large-aperture, glass-molded aspherical elements. It also uses three hybrids, aspherical lens elements to minimize the spherical aberration, coma and distortion of the images.
The ability to focus closer and capture images to ultimately achieve an exaggerated perspective at the end of a 10mm ultra wide-angle is appealing. Also, it is able to shoot a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5 in the setting of a 24mm semi wide-angle with the freedom to create the first planes to a minimum focusing distance of 0.24m throughout the zoom range.
Personally I love the Tamron 10-24 lens because it is smooth and the results have been fantastic giving great color and contrast to my images. Out of all the lenses I have owned, many do not compare with the quality of the images and all the features it offers at an affordable price.
The Tamron 10-24 lens is compact and light which is a great feature. It has a flower-shaped lens hood and a case is also included. It has the best magnification ratio in this class of 1:51. It also has the worlds first 2.4X zoom with an equivalent 16-37mm when converted to a full frame.
The lens is not designed for conventional cameras or digital cameras with image sensors larger than 24mm x 16mm. The ultra wide-angle zoom lens for digital SLR cameras has the first-ever focal length range of 10-24mm. The 35mm equivalent of 16mm ultra wide-angle to 37mm semi-wide-angle-is a perfect tool for creating dramatic landscape images. With the Tamron 10-24 lens, you will be able to capture images beyond what the eye can see creating spectacular images.
