Now That The Eminem Feud is Over, How Long Until He Plays GOTJ?

Now that the ICP / Eminem feud is long gone, when will we see Slim Shady grace the stage at GOTJ?
Juggalos had reason to believe that some giant collaboration of the sort would go on at this year s GOTJ, simply because ICP has organized more collaborations for the Mighty Death Pop! bonus tracks than they ve ever done on any of their past CD s.
The monstrous and artistically diverse list of collaborators on The Mighty Death Pop! proves that there are a whole slew of artists out there who respect ICP enough to collaborate with them on a marquee Joker s Card album like The Mighty Death Pop! When ICP first started out, that list was slim, and now it s grown. However, as you noticed, there is no mention of Eminem s name on the Mighty Death Pop! credit list, though that s not due to the Eminem feud ICP had in the past.
With the Eminem feud long gone, many ICP fans and even a few Eminem fans were speculating that he d make an appearance on The Mighty Death Pop! And of course, if that was true, then chances were high that he d make an appearance at GOTJ 2012. After all, even though Eminem has gone soft in the years since the ICP-Eminem feud has been over (Relapse and Recovery don t hold a candle to his earlier work), he was once upon a time another Detroit rapper with horror rap tendencies.
If you remember accurately, during the height of the ICP-Eminem feud, Shady was known for murderous raps (like those on The Mighty Death Pop!) that critics labeled with a slew of different hate terms. Perhaps that s why the Eminem feud every existed in the first place Detroit might not be big enough for two horror rap juggernauts.
The Mighty Death Pop! proved not to be the right time and place for Eminem to make nice with ICP artistically, and even though the ICP-Eminem feud has been over for years, it might be many more before the two parties write together. But just imagine the possibilities if they did, on a record like The Mighty Death Pop! or at GOTJ
Speaking of, GOTJ, even though it is unquestionably large enough to handle whatever chaos an Eminem performance would spark, the GOTJ crowd might not take very nicely to him, given the history of the Eminem feud. So, it is understandable the Eminem is apprehensive towards performing at GOTJ, now or ever, especially considering what has happened to GOTJ performers like Tila Tequila (who didn t even have a pre-existing feud like the ICP-Eminem feud) at GOTJ s in the past.
At this rate, Eminem probably won t play GOTJ until The Mighty Death Pop! cycle has passed and the next ICP Joker s Card is out, and only then if he s on it.
The mayhem that is
GOTJ
would only grow crazier with a performance by fellow Detroit rapper Eminem. This article speculates on when that might happen, or if he ll appear on the next ICP album after The Mighty Death Pop! To learn more about GOTJ and the artists performing, please visit http://hatchetgear.com.
